We’re grateful for Family Day, a much-needed long weekend to spend with loved ones. Still looking for something to do? Here are four family events going on in the city this Monday.
Family Day at Dundurn
From 12-4, families can take a guided tour of over 40 rooms in Dundurn Castle and enjoy hands-on activities and historic treats. Regular admission rates apply ($11.50 adults, 9.50 seniors & students, $6.00 child, FREE infant, $30.00 family).

Family Day Art Class
Enjoy free, hands-on art making activities at the Art Gallery of Hamilton anytime between 1:30 and 3:30 available on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit a little earlier for a mini-tour from 1:00 to 1:25. Spaces are limited.

Braden’s Hot Chocolate Festival
Support the Hamilton Conservation Foundation and head to the Dundas Valley Conservation Area for a day of outdoor winter fun from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission and entertainment are free. A $2 donation for hot chocolate supports the foundation. Enjoy live music, food vendors, and activities like workshops and storytelling.

Skating at Pier 4
Visit Hamilton’s Pier 8 for the Waterfront Festival of Lights and a skate around. The light display was sponsored by the community and made both in the classrooms and by the Hamilton Waterfront Trust. Skate rentals are $6 (helmet rentals, safety equipment and skate trainers are all $2).
